Barbecue turkey burger

Serves 2

Tip: Oats pack hidden nutrition into this zesty burger.

  1. Add 1/2 pound ground turkey breast.
  2. Add 1 cup chopped onion.
  3. Add 1/2 cup dry oats.
  4. Add 1/4 cup ketchup.
  5. Add 2 tablespoons brown sugar.
  6. Add 1 teaspoon chili powder.
  7. Add 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper.
  8. Add 1 teaspoon paprika.
  9. Add 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder.
  10. Add 1/2 teaspoon onion powder.
  11. Add 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt.
  12. Add 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper.
  13. Form into two 4-ounce patties.
  14. Cook 5 minutes on each side to internal temperature of 160 F.
  15. Let rest 5 minutes.
