Caramelized balsamic vinaigrette

Serves 8

Tip: This dressing will solidify when stored. Gently warm in a microwave or saucepan for a few seconds.

  1. Add 1/2 cup water.
  2. Add 6 tablespoons sugar.
  3. Heat until caramelized.
  4. Add 1/2 cup dark balsamic vinegar.
  5. Add 2 tablespoons olive oil.
  6. Add 4 garlic cloves.
  7. Add 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt.
  8. Add 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper.
  9. Stir and set aside to cool.
  10. Strain garlic.
