How To Make Malabar Paneer At Home

Malabar paneer is a rich and creamy paneer gravy that is cooked in typical South Indian preparation. Try this easy recipe to make Malabar paneer at home.

Paneer cubes – 250 gm Capsicum cubes – 1/4 cup Coconut milk – 1/2 cup Onion (chopped) – 1 medium Tomato cubes – 1/2 cup Green chillies, chopped – 3 Turmeric – 1/2 tsp Asafoetida – a pinch Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp Chilli powder – 1/2 tsp Oil – 2 tbsp Salt (according to taste)


Step 1

Heat oil in a kadhai, saute onions, tomatoes, capsicum, and green chillies for 3-4 minutes.

Step 2

Now, add hing powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, chilli powder, and salt. Mix it well.

Step 3

Pour the coconut milk and let it cook in the seasoning.

Step 4

Add the paneer cubes to coconut gravy, cover the pan with a lid, and cook it for 4 to 5 minutes.

Step 5

Your Malabar paneer is ready, enjoy it with chapati or steamed rice.
